As an alternative to SCHOEPS CCM8/4/41 we propose a SENNHEISER MS couple with the new bi-directionnal MKH8030 in combination with a MKH8040 (Cardio) or MKH8050 (Supercardio) as Mid microphone.
This couple take place as the SCHOEPS CCM in a CINELA ZEPHYX permitting the use, with the windshield, for outdoor or without the windshield, with a simple SCHOEPS WMS foam windscreen, for indoor (see pictures).
We strongly recommend the use of MZF8000-II with the MKH8000’s to minimise handling noises.
This couple with 2 x MZF8000-II is 40g heavier than the SCHOEPS but stay very light in comparison with the older MKH30/40 or 50 MS.
Compare to the SCHOEPS CCM MS the frequency response is better in the bass range but this couple probably stay more sensitive to handling noises, as all SENNHEISER MKH these mikes benefit from a high immunity to humidity.
